Today I want to talk to you about some techniques that will allow you to get double the results using half the time you normally use.

First of all, it is good to clarify that, personally, I do not like to talk about time control or time management, because they are both actions that cannot be achieved.
Time cannot be managed or controlled, simply because it does not depend on us. The fact that time can pass more or less quickly is a consequence of our way of valuing it.
It would be interesting to ask someone who just missed a flight what one minute of that time is worth in their life.
It would be equally interesting to ask someone who just came in second at the Olympics what a millisecond is worth in his life.
Here, at that point we would realize that time cannot actually be controlled or managed, considering that its value depends mainly on ourselves then we should start talking about managing ourselves , with the aim of getting the most out of the time we have available.
Here are 3 key tips that, if fed consistently, will allow you to obtain double the results in half the time:

1) Plan your life: literally learn to plan your life , many underestimate the power of planning, the greatest technique that allows you to get much, much more out of your time. Get into the habit of using a diary to plan the activities you want to do, whether it is paper or digital it does not matter, it is essential to build the habit of planning as many activities as possible. Not just those that we typically consider important : the visit to the dentist, the shareholders' meeting, the holidays we have booked... no, I am sure that you would not forget these appointments anyway! It is important to also schedule the small activities that you intend to do, such as running in the park, calling a friend, reading a book. Fill every day and week with all the activities, perhaps dividing them between personal commitments , work , passions and relationships . In this way you will realize how balanced your time is and you will be able to gradually change your commitments to make room for a greater number of activities. Try it even for just a week and you will see that after 7 days you will realize that you have completed at least double the activities that you normally did. 2) Set a CAP: give yourself a time within which to complete an activity. The concept of abundance is extremely negative when it comes to better managing ourselves and the effects of our time. Knowing that you have a lot of time available automatically triggers, in our mind, a series of defocusing mechanisms, leads you to distract yourself more and therefore to take much longer to complete an activity. It will certainly have happened to you to have entered the office at 8 in the morning and then leave at 9 pm or later, and have the feeling of not having accomplished anything, that sense of anguish for having worked so hard but in an unproductive way. On the contrary, there have been occasions when you had very little time available, maybe you had to go out for an appointment or to catch a flight, in that case you will have been amazed at how many things you had completed in a short time. The concept is exactly this, if we know we have little time available then we concentrate and leave no room for distractions , greatly increasing productivity. Give yourself an hour, half an hour, fifteen minutes, the amount that in your good sense are necessary to complete a task, if you need further stimulation, set a timer and concentrate thinking that you have no other time than the time that passes to do it.
3) If you can't, then you must! I take inspiration from one of Anthony Robbins' most famous phrases, which represents a real antidote to one of the most widespread diseases in the world: procrastination. The tendency to put things off, " I'll do it later ", " tomorrow ", "next week" , that art of putting things off to a better time that then punctually never arrives, increasing our sense of anxiety and frustration for not having completed those activities "yet". It's strange, I know, we inflict these real sufferings on ourselves, because in fact many of us are affected by procrastination. So let's commit ourselves to fighting this pathology with the best antidote: "If you can't do it, then you must", conceptually the very moment you tell yourself to put something off because it's not the right time then do it at that very moment . The phone call we hate to make, the email we have to write, the garden we have to clean, I could go on and on… start completing these things that you put off, which even if less important than others (or so we are led to think) have an extraordinary power in themselves, the fact of having freed ourselves from them will unleash our productivity and our well-being.
I hope that these tips, put into practice consistently, can really help you get more out of your time, with the aim of transforming yourself from prisoners of time to masters of time.
Good luck!
